Current …wedi shower installation.
There is still a tall …wedi 42” niche to be installed but we are waiting for the placement based on the tile layout.

This post is for any reader installer or customer of tile, please take a good look at the picture.
What you see is a 1/4”x3/8” square notch trowel on a 12”x12” back buttered tile over a self leveled substrate. This is what a well bonded tile should Always look like when you use the proper sized trowel and backbutter. If it does not look like this change the trowel size one bigger until it does look like this.

What you are also seeing is what’s called collapsed ridges. That occurs when you press the tile firmly down and shift the tile from left to right, pushing the air out of the sides of the tile.

I truly hope this helps educate some out here because I see a lot of fails out here with new work which is not good for our industry.
