Chiropractic care can offer several benefits for individuals recovering from car accidents, especially those who experience musculoskeletal injuries such as whiplash or back pain. Here are the key benefits:

1. Pain Relief
Drug-free management: Chiropractors use spinal adjustments and other techniques to relieve pain without medication.

Targeted care: Focuses on the root cause of pain (e.g., spinal misalignment), not just the symptoms.

2. Reduced Inflammation
Micro-tear healing: Even minor accidents can cause soft tissue micro-tears that lead to inflammation. Chiropractic adjustments help reduce this by improving circulation and nerve function.

3. Restored Range of Motion
Joint mobility: Injuries often limit movement in the neck, back, or limbs. Chiropractic care helps restore flexibility and reduce stiffness.

4. Faster Recovery
Optimized body function: Spinal adjustments can promote faster healing by ensuring the nervous system and musculoskeletal system are properly aligned.

5. Prevents Chronic Issues
Early intervention: Prompt chiropractic treatment may prevent long-term complications like chronic pain, headaches, or degenerative joint disease.

6. Whiplash Treatment
Specialized care: Chiropractors are experienced in treating whiplash, a common car accident injury that may not appear for days after the crash.

7. Non-Invasive Approach
Alternative to surgery: For many, chiropractic care can be a first-line treatment option that helps avoid more invasive procedures.

8. Insurance and Documentation
Accident documentation: Chiropractors often provide detailed records that can be helpful for insurance claims or legal cases related to the accident.

If you're considering chiropractic care after an accident, it's a good idea to consult both a medical doctor and a chiropractor to ensure a comprehensive recovery plan.

The Prescott Valley Police Department has a few tips to help keep your kids safe as they head back to school:

- If you’re driving behind a bus, leave space between your vehicle and the bus. Be prepared, buses make unexpected stops.
- Per state law, all drivers must stop for school buses that are stopped with warning lights displayed.
- Speed limits in school zones are between 15 and 25 mph.
- When walking, make sure to cross streets at corners or marked crosswalks that are in clear view and never cross between parked cars. Remind children to always walk in front of the bus, never behind it.
- Seatbelts are a must, click it or ticket.
- Make time for a refresher course in safe driving, no matter how long you’ve been driving. You may even be eligible for a discount through your insurer.
