I've got some down time. I've been wanting to pick up my camera again and create. Though I'm also feeling a bit intimidated and rusty by it as well.

Western men to often is raised to see vulnerability as dangerous to our perceived masculinity. Manhood must be earned in the eyes of other women and men. It becomes something to be defended. It can be swept away or taken from us. To be genuine. To be curious. To reveal we feel alone or need of help is to risk the loss of respect. Are perceived strength is in truth our greatest weakness. This condemns the average man to hide who he really is from the world. It's an emotional straight jacket. Our pain bursts forth in the form of anger. We self destruct in frustration. If you see a man bearing his weakness appreciate that it does not come easily. Show him it's OK and that we as a soc6 would be better off if men did so now often without fear. **e
