I get emails and requests all the time about how to start initiatives that respond to homelessness. There is no recipe, but this is one way to begin - be a part of the collaborative movement in your city! Start by attending and supporting your local Homeless Continuum of Care where you'll meet others doing the work and be exposed to local data that can drive response planning and decision making because every region has their own specific picture of homelessness.
After serving this organization since 2016, I will be rolling off the Cape Fear Homeless Continuum of Care Board but will continue working in committees! Thanks for the many, many memories!!! It's been my honor and privilege to serve.
