Laugh!

I am convinced this is how some of our most brutal stories survive, even if they aren’t actually funny. They survive because ensconced in laughter is the only way our bodies can bear them.

I am purging. I love paper (calendars, books, notepads, scratch paper, traveler's notebooks, Hobonichis, you name it). I love pens, too but that's another story.

I just found these:
My 2020 Daily Planners. Hobonichis.

One planner covers January to June 2020.
The other planner covers July to December 2020.

I'm afraid to open them.

2020. THAT year. Yes.
________

Upon first glance, notice how "used up" the Jan to June 2020 planner is compared to the July to December 2020 planner.

For context: Hobonichi planners get thicker as the year goes by because the thin pages get thicker with "use" (ink, etc).

Memories.

So blessed to receive this mug as a gift from a person (Eddie!) who had no idea that hot tea is a daily healing ritual for me.

Enjoyed my Sunday morning tea, on the day after the March15th conference at St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

No words can express our thanks to this church family led by Bishop Alvin and Lady Dominique Haywood Miller.
