I don’t weigh in often, but today I am. This one’s about free speech.
Free speech means you can say what you want without being arrested—as long as it’s not a threat. For example, you can go to work and say whatever you want about your employer. That’s your right. But your employer also has the right to fire you for it.
You can go on TV and speak out about any political or public figure—that’s protected speech. But your words can still carry consequences: you might be removed from a board, lose a scholarship, or be let go from your job.
So yes, you absolutely have the right to speak your mind. Just remember that others have the right to respond.
Just thought I’d weigh in today. Wishing y’all a blessed day!
