r express myself without being stereotyped, marginalized, or boxed in. I knew that I was different, but I just wanted to be myself and and let my gifts speak for themselves. I struggled through my adolescence dealing with a very religious upbringing, being the only boy in a family full of women, and lacking the proper mentorship for the type of guy that I was becoming. It really made it difficult to figure out who I wanted to be and the best way for me to take my gifts, focus on my interests, and discover how I could best carve out my own unique path. I was constantly bombarded with people telling me who I could or couldn't be, what was possible or not, and what I wasn't allowed to do because books and people said so. This confused and angered me and caused me to believe that the world hated me for who I was becoming and the best way for me to get out of that life was to work harder than everyone else at being the best. This in addition to a hectic household and difficult social life started a cycle of survival that would have a stronghold on me for years to come. I decided that I wouldn't allow myself to make the same mistakes that my family, adults around me, and many in the community around me made to just be normal. So I took my life in my hands, decided a path for myself, and took it. Although I was against a ton of challenges with being a Black, q***r, socially underdeveloped, first generation college student I buckled down and pressed my way through each challenge and opportunity until I earned my degree, built my path, and began to figure out the fullness of my journey. After finishing my undergraduate college program where I earned a bachelors of science in Zoology pre-med I realized that my gifts and talents could be used in medicine, but more so the medicine of the mind and soul rather than just the body. I decided to pursue a graduate degree with Oklahoma State University where I earned a master of science in healthcare administration. After about a decade of work experience in the areas of marketing, business development, brand and event management, personal and professional development and so much more it became clear that I wanted to use my gifts of emotional clairsentience (feeling and reading energies), along with my personal style, personality, and experience to help people that are unique and hardworking like me. That's when I made the choice to open The Dream Incentive which provides personal, brand, and business development coaching to unique working professionals that want to be free from the stress and limitations of survival mode. Working as an individual that hasn't ever been taught how to create spaces for yourself to blossom in all areas makes you feel stunted, insignificant, or unworthy of existence. It's like you're waiting for someone to tell you that it's okay to take time to yourself before you ever allow yourself to do so. And while you're waiting, time is just passing by. Next thing you know, you're looking in the mirror and you've aged with no real exciting experience other than work or the things you've done for other people. This is what drives my passion to help others achieve balance in their lives. Survival mode robs you of the joys that life has to offer and being trapped in it limits the ability we have to see ourselves as the masterful, passionate, creative beings that we really are. So I have dedicated myself to helping my clients connect with their story and do the necessary work to develop a balanced and abundant life outside of survival mode.
