Feels like a win ☺️ After 2 years it feels like life in Alaska is just coming together now (after falling apart a bit ).

Our goal of growing food is slowly taking shape. And after rallying to get the upstairs (aka Grand Bear Den) ready for it’s first season we’re really prioritizing rest.

We’re trying to take time on Friday to welcome in rest with Shabbat dinner. When we lived in Hong Kong we were lucky enough to take a class at the synagogue on Jewish calendar and customs because of Niko’s heritage (his great grandfather was a prominent Jewish figure in Hong Kong and is buried in the Jewish cemetery).

Learning the Jewish laws and customs made me really appreciate what Christ has done for us. All the rules and commandments were created for our good, to draw us to him.

If there is anything that I have learned in the last couple years it’s; We can’t do it all. We need him. We need to rest in him. (It’s a hard lesson, but totally worth it!)
