Eugenia Woods and T Loving are now launching a Tucson-based production focusing on Tucson's unique food heritage, food resilience and sovereignty issues, and general love of the diversity that brought Tucson the UNESCO World City of Gastronomy designation. FAMISHED: Tucson is an interdisciplinary performance project about the region's food culture and ways people relate to and around food. The Project focuses on traditional foodways, food sovereignty and resilience. It aims to illuminate the dynamics of producing, accessing, and sharing food and how these processes inform our social and political discourse. Community will be asked to engage in potlucks, intentional cooking/eating communities, story circles, and interactive installations to stimulate dialogue on Food as: Medicine, Community, Ritual, and Memory. Interviews will be conducted at food truck round-ups, agricultural events, and with non/unstably housed people.
