Every American is bound by the rule of law and due process. If you have a legal grievance against the government, you prove it in court. You DON’T get to bypass the entire legal system to set up a $1.7 billion taxpayer-funded payout for your allies. This isn't justice. It’s corruption.

The hypocrisy is stunning. On the same day the moved to penalize K-12 student protests, they also overrode a veto on the Charlie Kirk Act to "protect" free speech on college campuses.

The "fiscal responsibility" label shouldn't be a tool used only when it’s convenient.
When the majority rushes through massive bills while skipping the non-partisan price tag, they aren't protecting taxpayers. They are hiding the truth from them. We can't claim to be responsible while flying blind on the actual costs to Kansas families.
Kansans deserve transparency and a legislature that plays by the same rules for every bill, regardless of whose name is on it.
Kansas Republicans flout fiscal notes in rush to pass costly, contentious bills • Kansas Reflector House and Senate Republicans throughout this year's legislative session routinely brushed aside concerns about the projected costs of policies as a way of hushing objections from their political adversaries.
