Artist Talk: Self in Pieces: A Bunny Lee Solo Show. Dive into Bunny Lee’s world as she breaks down identity and art in her solo show chat. Join us for the artist talk with Bunny Lee about her solo show “Self in Pieces.” A gathering of fragments, memory, emotion, and imagination, woven together through painting, wooden forms, and collage. Each work explores a different layer of self: seeing, expressing, and accepting. This show invites you to slow down, reflect, and consider the ways you, too, are piecing yourself together.

Les invitamos este sábado 21 de marzo de las 12-5pm, a un encuentro especial para descubrir el trabajo de la artista Blanka Amezkua, quien desde 2021 ha explorado el conocimiento y las ilustraciones del Codice de la Cruz-Badiano. Reconocido como el primer libro de medicina de las Américas, este manuscrito, creado en 1552 por los médicos indígenas Martín de la Cruz y Juan Badiano, resguarda saberes ancestrales sobre plantas y prácticas curativas. A través de sus dibujos, la artista honra la profundidad, resistencia y continuidad de este conocimiento. En el cierre de su residencia en la Fundación Puffin en Brooklyn, compartirá su facsímil del códice como un archivo vivo que conecta pasado y presente. Están todos cordialmente invitados.

Everyone is invited this Saturday, March 21, from 12–5pm, to a very special Open Studio at The Puffin Foundation Brooklyn to discover the work of artist Blanka Amezkua, who since 2021 has explored the knowledge and illustrations of the Codex de la Cruz-Badiano. Recognized as the first book of medicine in the Americas, this manuscript, created in 1552 by Indigenous physicians Martín de la Cruz and Juan Badiano, preserves ancestral knowledge of healing plants and practices. Through her drawings, the artist honors the depth, resilience, and continuity of this knowledge. The artist will also share her facsimile of the codex as a living archive connecting past and present. All are cordially invited.
