Nine Lives Rescue

This picture is fun…not just because our friend Ed doesn’t normally walk around with a bird on his arm, but because Shelby doesn’t usually like to step up for most people. This day, she raised her leg when we neared Ed, letting me know she wanted to step up for him! They were careful and comfortable with one another (with close supervision by me!), and it was so wonderful to see! We have known Ed for quite a few years, and we already know he’s an amazing guy…it was cool to see that Shelby understood that within seconds of meeting him! 💙💛💙

This little beauty will be leaving the rescue soon, and heading over to a lovely little Parakeet Paradise set up by bird-loving humans!!!! C & J - you guys are top notch, and we know she’s going to LIVE HER BEST LIFE with you guys!!! 💛💛💛

** She came to us over a week ago after a Good Samaritan found her abandoned in a park… She seems to be in good spirits and good health! Thank goodness! 💛💚💛

What a fun FUNDRAISER for us!!!! Thanks to everybody who came out and supported us, and all of our new friends we met along the way! Thank you, Dave's Hot Chicken, for allowing us to hold our fundraiser at your fabulous Tacoma mall establishment! Amazing food! Amazing people! So much fun… 💚💚💚
