I’ve been working since I was 17 years old. From Walgreens shifts to late nights chasing dreams that felt impossible at times, it’s been a long road filled with sacrifice, growth, setbacks, and nonstop hard work. And while I’ll always respect a 9 to 5 because honest work is honest work, I spent years thinking a corporation was going to be the thing that changed my life. Deep down, though, I knew I wanted more for myself. I had dreams that couldn’t grow while depending on someone else to decide my worth, my time, or my future. Every late night, every risk, every exhausted drive home after work… it all became bigger than me. Now, I’m chasing a dream so my daughter grows up knowing she can build a life on her own terms. I want her to see her mom work hard, believe in herself, and create something from the ground up. I want her to know she never has to shrink herself for anyone or let anyone tell her what she’s capable of. Nothing worth having comes easy. Some people will misunderstand you no matter how kind or genuine you are. But never let that stop you from chasing what God placed in your heart. Keep working. Keep building. Keep trusting God.
