🚨 I'M VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. 🚨

You know how many times I've heard those words over the last 📸 10+ years as a photographer?

💬 "She's unprofessional."

For a long time, those words hurt. 💔 But today, I want to talk about what people really mean when they say that.

I've been a photographer for over a decade. 📷 I know how to run a business. I have contracts, systems, policies, and experience. But the truth is, photography has never just been a business to me. ❤️

✨ It's my passion.
✨ It's my art.
✨ It's something I do with my whole heart.

The biggest mistake I made wasn't being unprofessional.

👉 It was not having strong enough boundaries.

I bent over backwards for people. 🤸‍♀️ I gave extra time, extra edits, extra understanding, extra chances. I genuinely wanted everyone to be happy. 🫶

But sometimes when you keep giving, people keep pushing.

And when I finally said "No." 🚫

When I finally stood up for myself. 💪

When I finally set boundaries. 🛑

Suddenly I became "unprofessional."

Then come the rumors. 🗣️
The gossip. 👂
The people who have never worked with me, never spoken to me, never sat across from me, yet somehow have an opinion about who I am. 🤷‍♀️

But here's what I've learned... 🌻

✅ Setting boundaries is NOT unprofessional.
✅ Protecting your business is NOT unprofessional.
✅ Saying no is NOT unprofessional.
✅ Knowing your worth is NOT unprofessional.

I've wanted to quit more times than I can count. 😔

The rumors.
The criticism.
The negativity.

It's been heavy at times. 💭

But I'm still here. ❤️

I've grown. 🌱
I've learned. 📚
I've become stronger. 💪

So if you think I'm unprofessional, that's okay.

Because I know who I am. ✨

I know the love I pour into every session. ❤️📸

I know the tears, the hard work, the late nights, and the heart behind what I do. 🌙
