I come to you today with a heavy heart. My little sister Rochelle is 32 years old & struggles with complications to Lupus. I just want her to have a close to normal life. She currently lives in a nursing facility due to the fact that she cannot walk because she needs both hips replaced. She has not walked since 2012. She also suffers from avascular necrosis in both hips. She is on dialysis 3 times
a week & is visually impaired in one eye. I'm writing you today because she is starting to lose hope. She's lived in a nursing home for more than 8 years. She has gone thru so much in the past 10 years & still manages to keep a smile daily. In July of 2014 she was approved for hip replacement surgery. We were all so excited. She just kept saying that all she really wanted was to be able to walk again. A month after the surgery she developed a life threatening infection in the hip & it had to be removed. Doctors are unsure of if her body can withstand another surgery. Our mother passed away while I was at basic training & she has had to deal with that as well. It's been a long road & we don't know what the future holds. The nursing facility allows her a room by herself which she appreciated. We need a surgeon that can help her get this surgery. A lot of surgeons have turned her down because of all her ailments. She only wants to feel normal again. Please keep her in deep prayer as our search continues. Thank you for your time.
