Blue Origin is flying OpTech’s next-gen Caracal optical payload on Blue Ring Mission 1 (launch expected 2026). The mission deploys to GTO and supports persistent tracking and characterization in GEO—a major step for scalable, fully commercial SDA.

Caracal pairs high-performance optics with onboard storage + object-detection algorithms to deliver actionable awareness across a year-long mission profile.
