Performing Wellness

You are over worked, and under paid.
It's hard to work in a creative field.
It's even harder to make a living at it.
That's why artists and creatives always have more than one "job".
We have less time to ourselves because we not only have ye old obligations like making a living and keeping your family going, but we also have gigs thrown in there with different time commitments.
It's hard to not get sick because your body is so tired and fruits aren't a priority right now, but if you call out/ miss the deadline because you were sick or needed rest you will lose income.
WTF is an artist to do?
I'm Ash and I help creatives achieve sustainable success in their careers with less chaos, frustration, and burnout.

What is professional development for performers?
I like to say that:
Your art is your business
Your body is your instrument
Your wellness is your income
and maybe I should explain what I mean here.
As a performer, your art is your job. You are a business, an entrepreneur.
you must treat your art as a business, when it comes to performing.
You need to be organized and financially well.
Your body is the physical medium you use to perform.
When you value and respect your body and its internal wisdom, you are able to fully express your art and tell the most authentic story
when you don't, you know and the audience feels it
Your income depends on your wellness when your body is required to work
keeping yourself well will literally make you more money
I go into all of this, to get to my main point about professional development.
Professional development is addressing any of the job requirements I mentioned above.
it can look like
sitting down once per week with your planner
setting and achieving goals
regular self care
rest
listening to your body
making a marketing plan for promoting yourself on IG
