One Classroom

This past May, Tonya McEnery was presented with the One Classroom Leader of the Year Award. This award recognizes a Catholic school leader at a One Classroom partner school who leads with compassion, focus, understanding, and joy.

Under Mrs. McEnery's leadership as Principal, St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic School serves students with a range of learning differences, including students with Down syndrome, autism, and dyslexia. Thanks to Mrs. McEnery’s years of dedication, students of all abilities are able to attend Catholic school alongside their peers with the resources needed for success. Thank you, Mrs. McEnery for leading inclusion!

One Classroom Welcomes Summer Interns!

One Classroom is pleased to have the talents of two summer interns – Thomas Rempe and Lucy Kelley.

Thomas is a rising sophomore at the University of Dallas where he is studying business. Having grown up locally, he is personally acquainted with the founding members of One Classroom and appreciates the organization’s mission. He is excited to spend his summer assisting with the operations side of running a successful non-profit, with a focus on accounting and business research.

Lucy is a rising senior at the University of Mississippi, studying public policy leadership with minors in both education and geography. Lucy has a special connection to One Classroom’s mission. She attended Catholic schools most of her life and has a younger sister with a disability. She looks forward to learning more about nonprofits and advocacy, as well as about how to spread inclusion in Catholic schools.

One Classroom’s school grants are the foundation of our 10+ year history serving Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Through this programming area, One Classroom provides annual monetary grants to fund the salaries of support staff who are essential for the inclusion of children with disabilities and learning differences. In addition, grants help fund teacher training, therapy services, and adaptive technology & equipment.
