We've came to the last full week of February, the month of Love so I was contemplating some of the foundations of one of the most powerful forces in Life and figured it was a beautiful way to start the week.

So many time we look to change the Life around us through the external, when all the answers lie right within ourselves.

Remember the joy that came so easily in our younger years?

How full of excitement and energy the young are.

Eager to learn every new skill.

To explore their surroundings and capabilities.

Seeking out new experiences that expand the horizon of what is possible.

Full of wonder, anticipation, and anticipation for what they don't yet know…

All with a spring in their step and smile upon their face!

We tend to lose this as we become adults. The years add up and the miles take their tole.

By the time we reach middle age, we become "too old for this s #*t" and settle down to a steady pace.

With less of an appetite for risk or excitement. Accepting the daily lull of security in exchange for what might have been…

Or at least we tend to lose the wonder. The excitement and the anticipation that comes along with it. All in exchange for a more "grown up" way of being…

Until it's gone... And you discover your life is passing you by!

That is unless we consciously choose to make fun part of the process. And I don't mean haphazardly, nor half-heartedly.
I'm not talking about a quick fix or a mood boost. Nor am I suggesting that one day of fun makes up for the other six days if we spend them in drudgery.

Nor is it about taking things less seriously or being foolish. Nor should it be mistaken as an attempt to simply lose site of goals or priorities or the understanding that that Life comes packed full of seriousness.

It's about being conscious of the why, the intention behind what you desire to create.

Is it coming from a deep passionate place?

Does it feel good, both now and looking back later–not just checking off boxes on your goal list?

Because if it does not come deep from within , no amount of exterior processing will bring you joy.

It's not about being light-hearted at the expense of having a serious life purpose–it's about the necessary balance that keeps us sane and happy and thriving .

A wonderful life is achieved by living all aspects of our lives, so here's making sure we always have a liberal sprinkling of fun in our lives!!
