Birth can be blissful! Dancing For Birth™ prenatal/postpartum class incorporates dance moves from around the world that best prepare you to give birth and to feel great after birth. You'll become stronger, more agile, more at ease with your body and both mentally and physically ready to embrace your unique birth experience. In our global, weekly classes you’ll experience the benefits of dancing thru pregnancy, as well as after your birth, with your baby secured in a sling or wrap. Dancing For Birth™ class participants report experiencing low levels of discomfort, few or no interventions, brief labours and high levels of satisfaction during their births. As a weekly class participant you'll learn specialized birth dancing moves inspired by Middle Eastern Dance/Bellydance, African Dance, Latin Dance and Caribbean Dance. It's a feel-good workout that challenges, yet relaxes and uplifts you. During the class you'll also learn valuable childbirth preparation skills and natural pain coping techniques that will build your confidence in your own birthing ability and wisdom. Birth can be active, ecstatic, orgasmic, transformative and empowering! Did you know that there is an optimal position for your baby to be in when labour begins, and that you can help assure that position? You'll gain knowledge to help you have a deeply satisfying and memorable birth experience. Celebration is a big part of Dancing For Birth™ class. You'll honor and be proud of your postpartum body and bond with your baby. Babies love the motion of dancing and are easily soothed by being held while you dance. The Dancing For Birth™ birth method is taught to birth and wellness professionals in an approved two-day interactive Professional Training, providing 14 contact hours/continuing education credits and the designation 'Dancing For Birth™ Professionally Trained'.
