We lost tonight. So proud of my team, supporters and volunteers, we couldn't have done this without you.

No matter how this race turns out, I'm proud that we ran a fact-based, issue oriented campaign free of personal attacks.

It's a special election, on a special day, starting at 6 a.m., vote for me today!

Another full house of volunteers calling voters to remind them of the election tomorrow. So nice to have enough support to have real people who believe in what I've done calling voters and telling them why. Thank you to my many volunteers

Newman and Carlson's long, strange election to conclude on Monday 09/23/2012

FACT CHECKING THE “FACT CHECKERS”
The so called “fact checks” recently circulated by my opponent contain more fiction than facts. Here are a few examples:
Safe Drinking Water Act (supported by Carlson, opposed by Newman). Insofar as the Act had anything to do with transport of radioactive waste, it continued the system of inspections and escorts previously in place, and merely changed the fee structure to charge fees on a per truck basis, rather than per cask. The Sierra Club and Missouri Department of Natural Resources were fine with these changes, as reported in the St. Louis Beacon (September 20, 2012). https://www.stlbeacon.org/ #!/content/27118/newman_carlson_election_dover?coverpage=1717
Public Schools. There is no stronger proponent of strong and fully funded public schools than me. I have favored allowing charter schools solely in unaccredited school districts, and only where they are subjected to stringent oversight. I voted against a bill that would have expanded charter schools beyond unaccredited districts. http://www.house.mo.gov/billtracking/bills121/jrnpdf/jrn073.pdf =63
