In 1995, Lamar Johnson was falsely accused, wrongly convicted and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Twenty-four years later, St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner discovered multiple instances of prosecutorial misconduct in Lamar’s case including the bribing of the prosecution’s key eyewitness, who later recanted their testimony.
But Missouri Attorney General is BLOCKING Lamar's potential release. This is unacceptable. That is why I'm joining Color Of Change in demanding the Missouri AG withdraw his motion and instead join forces with community advocates fighting for Lamar's freedom.
