Original founding members of the club included Frank Hauff, Gene Gladstone, Tom Jones, Cliff Schlereth, Bob Meyer, and John Himmelman, who the Black side MVP award is named after. The Bombers were a result of a merger between “The Old Blacks” and the “Sisler-Hummel” rugby clubs, two of the most powerful and successful clubs in St. Louis during the 1940’s and 1950’s. WRFU select player, a force in the Rugby Super League and National 7s club competition.

Possessed a blend of speed, power and rugby IQ that made him one of the best outside centers in Club history.

The 25/26 End of Season Banquet will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 6 to 10 PMat Andre’s in Sunset Hills.

During the evening, we will also host the Class of 2026 Bombers Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Join us to celebrate these Legends!
