Sending you rainbows and sunshine from St. Thomas (we all need a distraction from the sh*tshow that is our government/idiot in charge).

It was windy but we still managed some amazing snorkeling with turtles, an octopus and a nurse shark!

Great fish and even better painkiller cocktails 🍸 highly recommend a trip, especially now that SWA is flying there and there are more flight options from STL.

Pretended winter was over at St. Louis’ yummy new Mexican Barrel House last night. Green apple moscato sangria feels like summer! Shared a tasty Mexi-Q board of slow smoked turkey and pork with food writer and yes, we tried all 14 of the sauces and salsas! The sweet charro beans and street corn potato salad were perfect sides to this smoky platter.

The decor is super fun (almost Vegas-like with lots of intricate details), the service warm and friendly and the churros were SO good, I don’t even have a photo. Go check out Amy’s story in STL Mag and you can see it there.

Look out for the armored guard at the bathroom.

P.S. soft opening this week. Check their website for hours.

More NYC ❤️
Best soup at The Bar Room at The Modern…preserved tomato with fresh chèvre and hot bread! I could’ve been happy with another bowl of soup, but was also delighted with the poached hen egg over green farro and mushrooms, the salmon with beluga lentils and smoked eggplant, the black forest sundae (who cares it was 11 degrees) and the basque cheesecake. Dinner at was delicious and such a deal during NYC Restaurant Week. Our server got us to the theater right on time.

I wish I could gush about All Out, but it wasn’t great. Even Sarah Silverman and Heidi Gardner can’t make lame skits funny when the writing is bad.

Other NYC fun—
*drinks at
*visit to
*tickets to (best show experience and he is charming with the audience Q&A)
*still thinking about the pistachio rose croissant at
*exhibits and overall design of the gorgeous museum

I❤️NYC and it was great to be back, even in the winter ❄️

Caviar and truffles on my chicken nuggets? Why yes, please!

Coqodaq lived up to the hype during NYC Restaurant Week. Korean fried chicken with a shattering crunchy batter, all the fun sides (pickles, peppers, kimchi mac&cheese), our fancy nuggets, some Lambrusco and a lovely soft serve finish with mango sauce.

The interior reminded me of a disco and I loved the sinks at the entrance/exit so you can wash up in/out. The service was spectacular—no wonder Simon Kim is nominated for a James Beard Outstanding Restauranteur award and is on Bib Gourmand list. Loved it!
