Siostra is a family run small business owned by Katheryne Morschl. Katheryne fell in love with Polish Pottery while living overseas with her husband, John, while he was stationed in Germany with the Army. At the end of the economic downturn in 2012, Katheryne was downsized from her position at an engineering firm and she decided that with that door closing it was time to open some windows. Siostra opened in May of 2012 in the perfect location on historic Main Street in downtown St. Charles. In 2017, she purchased the building and named it Opieka (the act of protecting or state of being protected or cared for).
They offer both dishes and decor that is sure to put a smile on your face when you see it.
The pottery is so versatile - can be used daily, is microwavable, can go from your freezer to the oven for easy meal prep, and has the most beautiful patterns to compliment your home!
