This boy "Hooked me up!!!" Best Retirement Present Ever!!! He knew I was a big fan of the band 3 Doors Down, and used his connections to have guitarist Chris Henderson create autographed cups for me. Thank you so much, Halen, Valarie Ann Gorza, and Chris Henderson!!! I will miss this guy and my 4th & 5th grade crew, but I will come back for visits from time to time❤️❤️❤️ Chris Henderson

To say that the HHS 2025 Graduation tonight was exciting is quite the understatement!!! Spent some time in the basement of the Jefferson College Field House when a tornado warning was issued, but it was so worth it to watch these CATS Kids as Co-Valedictorians. Olivia Drinen and Anthony Gallina you will change the world!!! Lilly Leaman, Nerik Striklin and Natalia Garrett you will also do great things!! Love you all❤️🌪

It is with a mixture of gratitude and nostalgia that I share with you the news that I will be retiring at the end of this school year from my position as a gifted education teacher at Dunklin R-V School After 18 years of in the Gifted Classroom, I find this decision bittersweet, as the students, colleagues, and families have become an integral part of my life.
Teaching gifted students has been a truly rewarding journey—one filled with curiosity, creativity, and an unwavering pursuit of knowledge. I have cherished the opportunity to nurture young minds, challenge them to reach their fullest potential, and witness their incredible growth and achievements. The passion and enthusiasm of my students have continually inspired me, making every day in the classroom an adventure of learning and discovery. I will never forget, "Once a Blackcat, Always a Blackcat" Keep in touch, I always love to hear how my kids are doing!!!

The Elementary CATS students had a great showing at the Mastodon Art & Science Fair!!! Parker Beck, Miles Moses, and Addie Dittmann placed 2nd for their science project, "Stop the Browning", and Elliot Stockwell and Lily Wright placed 4th for their invisible ink project, "Now You See It, Now You Don't". Way to go CATS Kids!!! I am proud of all of your hard work!!!

We are still waiting for the final rankings, but we did not place in the top 3 teams. We had some extreme competition. The HHS Future City had an extremely impressive presentation, to the point that the other high school teams and coaches were asking them how they created their amazing virtual city!!! This team actually gave them pointers and offered to show them how they did it. I couldn't be more proud of the great character and poise that they displayed!!! These kids will always hold a special place in my ❤️DiscoverE
