While slides can also be stored in boxes, a plastic sheet allows you to view many slides at once without taking them out of their protective casing. Even when using a light box. This reduces direct handling and prevents dust and oil buildup. Plus, you can store multiple sleeves in a single box-binder to prevent the film from bending out of the frames.

Here’s some quick reminders for handling film:
Use gloves to reduce oil exposure
Don’t blow on them to remove dust
And in general keep cleaning them to the professionals
