🚨 Constipation is NOT normal.

You should be having 1–3 bowel movements daily; not every 3 days and definitely not “every now and then.” Your body is designed to detox daily; when waste sits too long it can lead to bloating, fatigue, skin issues, and gut imbalance.

Here are a few functional medicine tips to support healthy bowel movements:

💧 Increase your water intake
•aim for at least 8 cups daily to help move stool through the colon.

🥬 Eat more fiber
•vegetables, chia seeds, flaxseeds, and whole foods support gut motility.

🥑 Add healthy fats
•avocado, extra virgin olive oil, and nuts help lubricate the digestive tract.

🦠 Support your gut with probiotics; a balanced microbiome improves digestion and regularity.

🌙 Try overnight fasting
•give your gut a break with a 12-hour fast from 7 PM to 7 AM and avoid late-night eating.

🧘‍♀️ Reduce stress
•stress slows digestion and can contribute to constipation.

Your gut should be moving daily; naturally and comfortably. That’s a sign your body is functioning the way it was designed to.
