Level One Medication Aide Training - Missouri

Hello all!

My name is Hannah Thorn and I am an instructor who is authorized to teach the level one medication aide course, AKA L1MA, through the Department of Mental Heath and Senior Services.

There are many reasons why you may need this certification, such as work in:

✏️ consumer directed services
✏️ nursing home
✏️ long term care facility
✏️ residential care facility
✏️ host home

This class is a 16 hour, stretched over two days, course that will teach the student the basics of medication administration, including:

✏️ infection prevention
✏️ medication ordering
✏️ medication storage
✏️ rights of medication administration
✏️ medication basics
✏️ medication administration via routes of: oral, gastronomy tube, nasal, topical, subcutaneous, vaginal, re**al, ophthalmic, otic, etc.

Classes are usually held every month on the last Thursday and Friday of the month. Additionally, once certified, you must maintain your certification via a four hour course every two years, which I can facilitate as well.
