We care a lot about what we’re building…

and also spend a surprising amount of time like this.

Somewhere between “no one will register”
and “okay let’s do this”
is where most things actually come together.

we promise we’re professionals
(this is just what it sounds like before we start recording)

Okay but being told we have Brooke & Connor vibes is a top-tier compliment 🥹

Brooke & Connor Make a Podcast—your humor, chemistry, and ability to be wildly yourselves while staying deeply connected is such a joy to watch. This shout-out genuinely made our day and turned into one of our favorite moments from the episode.

Thanks for modeling what fun, friendship, and presence can look like on a mic 💛

Sometimes healing looks like trauma reprocessing.
Sometimes it looks like both of you absolutely losing it laughing because a chair betrayed you mid-resourcing 😂

In this episode with , she shares a moment where her foot slipped off her chair, made a very unfortunate sound… and suddenly the therapy room was filled with uncontrollable laughter.

And here’s the thing—we don’t believe that moment was a disruption.
It was regulation.
It was connection.
It was two nervous systems remembering that safety can be human, not perfect.

So much of what heals in EMDR (and therapy in general) isn’t just the protocol—it’s the permission to be real. To laugh. To repair. To stay present together when something unexpected happens.

Being human with our clients doesn’t weaken the work.
It often deepens it.

🎧 Listen to the full episode to hear how this moment and so many others can become real opportunities for us to connect, laugh, and heal.

Beyond Healing is turning six, and it’s hard to find the words to express the depth of our gratitude. When we opened our doors, we had a simple vision: create a place where healing felt human, relational, and grounded in compassion. Six years later, that vision has grown into something far beyond what we could have imagined.

We are profoundly grateful for the therapists and trainers who have been part of this journey. Your commitment to trauma-informed, relational care has shaped the heart of our work. To the thousands of clients and training participants who have trusted us with your stories, growth, and learning, thank you. You are the reason this community exists.

And to everyone who has listened to and shared our podcasts, now downloaded millions of times, thank you for inviting us into your lives. Your engagement and reflection have helped build a global conversation around healing, connection, and the human experience.

As we celebrate this milestone, we would love to hear from you. If Beyond Healing has impacted your life, your practice, or your community, would you share a memory, a moment, or a takeaway in the comments? Your reflections help us honor the past six years and look toward the future with hope and gratitude.

Here’s to the work, the community, and the next chapter.
