Springfield College Business Club

Do you have any interest in real estate, entrepreneurship, or being financially free to the point of working only because you want to? If so, I hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity coming to campus on Tuesday, March 1st in the Business Department Lounge (2nd floor Locklin).

The Springfield College Business Club will be hosting Dr. Linda Peters as our next guest speaker. She is a professor at the University of Massachusetts and a high net worth expert in real estate acquisition and analysis. She has also served as a national equity partner in a billion dollar real estate trust with over 16,000 residential units in 28 states.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 AM, so plan ahead of time to get out of your classes a few minutes early. Extra credit may be offered by business professors to students who attend the event. From 12-1 PM, we will hear the story of Dr. Peters and learn as much as we can from her experiences. After the event, the team from the Marketing and Communications Department will take some photos for us; one of these photos will be used as the photo of the day for the school’s website, so look nice!

Investing is an important art to understand that will complement any career. Real estate offers a form of investing that is arguably more creative and entrepreneurial than other investment strategies. Please email Troy Ward ([email protected]) if you plan on attending. We hope to see you there!

Today was the ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open Springfield College's new office in the One Financial Plaza of downtown Springfield. This is a very exciting step for the college that will provide us with various opportunities to expand downtown.
