What an incredible 🔹DECA-filled🔹 week it has been!!

Early this week, Missouri State Collegiate DECA was in Louisville, KY, attending the annual International Career Development Conference (ICDC).

Right at the opening session, MSU DECA was already and getting recognized for the Chapter Leadership Passport, highlighting the work our officer team has put in throughout the year. Isaac Moon, Madelynn Jared, Morgan Bruhn, Ava Lin, Lander Thompson, Emily Debonnaire, and Alexis Jared all received recognition for their Individual Passport Award, which showcases the actions taken during the year that build personal and professional skill sets focused on helping members be academically prepared, community-oriented, professionally responsible, and experienced leaders!

Congratulations to for bringing home the Association Leadership Passport award, too!

Our chapter experienced great success, with 7 of our 11 competitors advancing to the final round, 6 individuals placing top 10 in their event(s), and 4 placing top 3! Top placers are as follows:

Morgan Bruhn: FIRST place Travel and Tourism, top case study scorer, top exam scorer.

Alexis Jared: SECOND place Retail Management, top case study scorer, top exam scorer.

Madelynn Jared: TOP 10 Hotel and Lodging, top case study scorer, top exam scorer.

Abi Klover: Hotel and Lodging top exam scorer.

Ava Lin: TOP 10 Retail Management, top case study scorer, top exam scorer.

Isaac Moon: SECOND place Financial Statement Analysis; TOP 10 Financial Accounting, top case study scorer, top exam scorer.

Justin Taylor: FINALIST Marketing Management, top case study scorer.

Lander Thompson: SECOND place Financial Statement Analysis; FINALIST Corporate Finance, top case study scorer, top exam scorer.

Shoutout to our advisor, Jason DeBode, PhD, who never fails to show us support! He has gone to great lengths to help MSU Collegiate DECA get to where we are and continues to do so behind the scenes.

Next year, ICDC will be held in Austin, Texas, and we cannot wait to see what is in store for our members!
