As we pray today, we focus on the unborn.

A prayer for the unborn.
Father of Rescue,
The most vulnerable among us are in perilous danger. This war
on the weak is a bleak atrocity. The defenseless and voiceless are
losing their lives at the hands of those who ought to protect them;
those who are meant to protect their lives even at the cost of their
own.
We confess our helplessness. Our own hearts break at these hearts
that stop beating. Mankind has put on display the horrors of our
rebellion; we are grieved.
Please, God, spare these children.
Expose the horrors that continue to be committed against the not
yet born. Shed light upon this dark practice, uncovering it for what it
is. Cause the cruelty of abortion to be clear to our country and to our
world. Raise up individuals who use their voices in defense of those
who have none. May our prayers be among these voices.
Every innocent life lost gravely points to the cleansing, redemption,
and transformation that this world so desperately needs. We wait
and we ache for a world made new.
Father, help us rest in Your rescue. Amen.

Today is week 2 of the PRC Blessings in a Bottle. Today's prayer focus is for leaders.

A prayer for leaders.
Father of Righteousness,
For Your children advocating for righteous laws on the political
front, we ask for courage and conviction. Ground them in Your truth.
Bless them in the hardships they face and uphold them. Keep them
from growing weary in doing good. May they rest in the work that
You’ve already done on behalf of the world, even as You continue
to work in and through them.
We thank You for the men and women You’ve raised to be a public
voice for those without one. Guide their speech. May it be a constant
practice of truth spoken in love. May it be a testimony of Your grace,
used by You to convict hearts and move others to repentance and
faith.
For those who claim justice but don’t know the truth, soften their
hearts. Change them so that they might know their need for You.
Recenter their identity in Christ, transforming them into vessels of
the Gospel in our courts, legislature, and ex*****on.
Use these leaders appointed by You to pass laws that protect the
vulnerable in our communities.
Father, we trust Your righteousness. Amen
