How old school clinicians view new school diagnoses
Tendonitis/tendonosis —> Tendinopathy
Shoulder impingement —> Subacromial pain syndrome
Piriformis syndrome —> Deep gluteal syndrome
Chondomallacia patella —> Patellofemoral pain syndrome
Don’t get me wrong, I think these changes are for the better, however, it can be confusing at times for patients and even clinicians.
