Top Secret Band

Hey everyone. I just wanted to share some thoughts. We go into our second show as a new band this Sunday. Going to try and make it special, we will have a guest playing with us, another former bandmate from the days before Top Secret. I'd like to reiterate that I am the lone survivor and founding member of of the old band, I really did not want to go through the building process with all the work, bumps in the road, finding the new identity, etc. but here we are. It is very different from the old band, some will like it, some will not, that's how music is. Yes, it is different, it needed to be. I feel that I've assembled a very talented group, and like anything new, it will be filled with trials and tribulations as we find our way. At this stage in my life, I'm not going to try to conquer the world, merely have a great time playing good music with good people without drama. Sort of a back to the reason I play music, to enjoy, and hopefully have others enjoy what we are doing. I do hope that you will continue to come to our shows, which will be quite fewer than in years past, if it's not for you, I get it, if it is, I look forward to seeing and speaking with all of you at the gigs. We will continue to add and delete songs to find that healthy balance. This project feels good to me, and I will do my best to nurture it and help it grow. Please come and say hello, I miss you all. So here we are, a brief introduction. Mike Davis, guitar, vocals. Mike is a guitar teacher, fantastic talent, and an all around nice guy. We played together briefly about 20 years ago, and I'm very happy to have him in this project. Sue Cook, keyboards, vocals. Sue is a music teacher at an elementary school and my acoustic partner for over 11 years. She is a sight reader, you can literally put sheet music in front of her, and she will play it instantly, oh, and there's also an angelic voice that goes along with it. Pat Taylor, my drummer from ETA, the band before Top Secret. Pat got the itch to play again after we were reunited for his birthday party, he brings super solid rhythms and tasty licks, as well as more vocals. Joe Arnold, me, the last original member of Top Secret, bass and vocals. We will bring a totally fresh song list you will hopefully enjoy. This will be very different from what you were accustomed to see, but it was time for a change, as I felt that we were becoming stale. So looking forward to seeing you all again! Joe
