We took the trip to Orange County Speedway for the Altec Inc. night at the races and unloaded with a pretty decent car. We got to what we felt like was close for the tires that we had. We ended up qualifying 2nd, missing the pole by 2/100 of a second, which we felt pretty comfortable with.

The first race we fired off and knew within the first five laps that we didn’t have enough to push it for the win, so we switched to tire saving mode for the second race.

After a few adjustments to the setup we felt like we’d now be in a spot to win for the second race. We led for seven laps where we’d ultimately finish second due to the lack of tire comparison to the winners tires who only had 3 laps due to a DNF in the first race. All in all, after being out of the race car for three months, we are happy with two second place finishes!

We will go back to the shop to regroup, rebuild and come back faster 👊
