So, a few things I learned from shooting at the LAX tournament:

1) Use a monopod for shooting video or break out the $500 gimbal. (Ordered a monopod earlier today lol)

2) Get more B-roll footage, which I knew already because this isn't the first video I've ever shot or edited. Just the first paintball one so I was out of my element in a way and switching back and forth from photos.

3) Risk it for the biscuit. I see all these guys on Instagram with super sick shots and after looking at my video I realized what I lacked in terms of "The juice". The behind the player slow-mo shots with paint flying all around them, or them shooting a lane. I need to chance getting shot, and my gear getting shot so I can get the sick footage.

Last but not least...I knew this one already as well...

4) Shoot way more footage than I think I will need. I've filmed and edited hunting videos of mine and a buddy. And every time I edit a video I'm reminded, shoot and fill up every card you can. That doesn't mean just fill it with junk but fill it with the best possible shots you can because it always makes a video better with more!

Here's a quick little video from the tournament. I tried to get everyone I could, but I didn't want to be in the pits with every team considering I've never met some of you guys. I knew several from Hurricanes so that's why I floated around them more. Just didn't want anyone I didn't know to have a reason to think I was up to something. Hope you all enjoy!

Idk what’s being said…. But I’d bet the house he mentioned “Officer Joe” in there somewhere.
