In honor of teacher appreciation week, I am reminding everyone that public school educators are eligible for discounted rates on acupuncture treatments—contact me above. Public education is essential for the wellness of our democracy and our citizens. Public schools strengthen our communities in more ways than I can list, and public school teachers are some of the hardest working people there are. I am forever grateful for my public education and the teachers who guided me. Contact me to set up an appointment today!

Sometimes I read books. This one, A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers, came recommended by a bunch of people whose opinion I really value. It’s funny and insightful and positive without being precious. The only other thing I will say about it is that one of the core themes fits nicely with many of the aspects of acupuncture that led me to be a practitioner in the first place: Watching the world and nature, accepting people and experiences as they arrive, and deep compassion. It’s a great book to buy at your favorite independent bookstore, such as Loyalty Bookstore in Silver Spring, MD and Petworth, DC.
