This Memorial Day we pause for remembrance.

We remember the brave men and women who left behind their families, their homes, and their futures in service to something greater than themselves. Some never made it home. Their sacrifice is the reason we gather freely with our loved ones today.

At the Military and Youth Foundation, we believe Memorial Day is about more than ceremonies and flags. It’s about carrying forward the legacy of those we lost by continuing to serve others, support our veterans, strengthen our communities, and teaching the next generation the meaning of sacrifice and patriotism.

As you spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, take a moment to remember the fallen. Speak their names. Honor their stories. Never let their sacrifice become just another date on the calendar.

To all Gold Star families and those carrying the weight of loss today, we remember with you, and we honor your heroes.

This past Saturday, on Armed Forces Day, the Military and Youth Foundation was proud to host our annual Recruit Dinner , a night dedicated to recognizing and supporting the next generation of military service members as they begin their journey.

We want to extend a sincere thank you to Lakeland University for hosting this special event and to Texas Roadhouse for helping make the evening memorable with great food and support.

Thank you as well to all of our event sponsors, the military recruiters from every branch, and the families who joined us to support these young men and women. Your encouragement and presence meant a great deal.

Most importantly, thank you to the recruits. Choosing to serve something greater than yourself is no small decision. You are stepping forward into a life of sacrifice, discipline, and commitment, and that deserves recognition. We are proud of each of you and grateful for your willingness to serve our country.
