Just a reminder that when you shop small, you help someone directly.

By shopping small, you’ve helped a struggling artist buy a meal. You’ve helped a small business owner keep the doors open. You’ve helped a single mom with her dream of running a bakery or a young individual who is going through college.

These are people you talk to everyday just trying to keep the dream alive, not corporate greed, not millionaire politicians, REAL people in your community.

So please,this holiday season, remember them during these difficult times. Stop at artists events or your Main Street locations.

You can also give the gift of an experience by stopping by your local restaurants, bakeries, movie theaters, coffee shops etc..and getting a gift card or certificate.

Since experiencing life hardships like losing a loved one, facing homelessness, struggling to pay bills or finding a next meal during slow hours of work or unemployment: I can say that I’ve personally experienced what it really means to be supported by the people who chose to buy my art, rather than choosing Walmart or something like that.

It was because of these people that I’m still out here putting together events or creating art. They put meals on my table and kept my lights on and my house warm. Without them I don’t know where I would be. I’m so grateful for all of you. 💖
