Today put me on to the term “Phoenix Phenomenon”. It refers to the possibility of developing a deeper sense of self and purpose, especially after having gone through something traumatic..

That got me thinking about the woman I am today, all of my strongest attributes, and how I came to develop them further.
I am compassionate, patient, creative, intuitive, and emotionally responsible... simply because of my experiences with su***de, depression, loneliness, falling in Love with a substance abuser, losing a Loved one...
While nobody ever really asks to be traumatized, there is something to be said about the infinite possibilities of self improvement that can follow profound pain.

I’m honest with myself about the s**t show that is our Country.. but I’m also here to remind US of the light in the dark. This opportunity brewing in all of us.
May we rise from the ashes, stronger, wiser... Everytime.

My empath sistren, shared some late night strumming with us last night. Within the melody was a whole other layer of message that I felt on a spiritual level.. Since jumping through the phone and giving her a big old hug wasn’t an option, my desire to nurture manifested as artistic collaboration...
Which reminds me why I’ve always been so drawn to art and artists. We have the power to love in a 6th Language, a spiritual language.. 💗 Reflecting on this today.
