Wake Up Presents

Well time to let y'all know that Life on Mars Seattle is closing for the foreseeable future. Dec. 6th is our last day open. We like to think of this as a hibernation instead of a goodbye. It's been hard not having our whole family together and we've been hobbling along, but time to take a long nap and come back stronger than ever. In the meantime, come on down and order the wings, rolls, waffles, etc. We also have batched cocktails, special bottles of booze, 43 records to choose from, and a gang of merch online. This pic was taken 6 months after we opened and we couldn't have been more excited and happy. Crazy how things change. Important to appreciate what we all have. Hope to see ya soon.

Well 2020 officially sucks as if you didn't know that already. Life on Mars Seattle
is going into hibernation for a bit. We tried to wait it out and keep it going, but the mountain got too high to climb. We wouldn't be mad if y'all wanted to help us stock up for the winter by buying lots of batched cocktails, special bottles of booze, tons of clothing options, 43 records to choose from, and a few spots in the vinyl club that we were able to open up. More details in the link. We will miss y'all like you can't imagine, but we'll be back stronger than ever. We are open through Dec. 6th. Come say see ya later when you get a chance. https://mailchi.mp/.../life-on-mars-closing-temporarily...

Right now, 1200 venues and promoters across 50 states are all rallying around one common goal. Save the Venues so we can Save the Artists. This pandemic is hitting everyone really hard. By the end of June over 2000 shows will have been canceled in King County and millions of dollars in lost revenue. We are asking every single person who cares about music venues to call and email all of their elected leaders. Click here https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials to find contact for the Gov, County Council members, City Council, Mayor's office, U.S. Reps and most importantly Sen. Patty Murray & Sen. Maria Cantwell. They need to know millions of people across the country care and will do what's needed to save our cultural institutions. Please copy and paste this message into your own social media channels. We want to reach everyone who cares about live music.

I posted this once and they have extended the deadline to end of day now. This is all about supporting the arts in Seattle and particularly Capitol Hill. Specifically it's about CHBP, but we need to send the city a message that we want more support for the arts instead of less. I implore you to please take 3 minutes to fill this out.
