At its most basic, this 5-week poetics lab, I’m teaching this fall for is about exercises in listening to the world around you. There’s so much coming through every hour that we fail to recognize because of socialization or our ego. My job in these 5 weeks is to give you a safe-enough space, a few ideas and examples, and maybe even permission to let go of your inner editor and to truly surprise yourself with what you can tap into and work with every day. Over the next two weeks, we'll be wrapping up one cycle that began with the solar eclipse on April 20 as well as another that began in May of 2022, when the eclipses in Ta**us and Scorpio kicked off. These next two weeks are a great time to do as Luna does and reflect. Reflect on what has changed for you the last 18-ish months, particularly the last 6 months. That area of your life will be ripe in 2024, as Jupiter and Uranus will be initiating a new cycle, and bringing with them loads of opportunities to break out of limiting narratives to attain things you might have thought not possible.

It’s Venus’ last day in exaltation in Pisces, so I’m preparing an altar and ritual to carry the Venusian energy through her detriment in Aries, where she’ll make the last superior conjunction with the Sun there for another 8 years. That will take place on Friday, March 26. It’s the end of a cycle that began in March, 2013. Take some time tonight to savor the beautiful and sublime, and to stoke the flames of love, and May Venus bring you much more in return.
