Kind of beautiful to see the reflection of the original Seattle Aquarium in the new facility’s facade.
Seattle Aquarium opened in 1977. Now, 47 years later, the Ocean Pavilion will open just to the east and adjacent to the historical pier.
Not only will this new facility drive advancements in education and conservation, its life support systems are more sophisticated & more efficient.
Just think about the progress in our understanding of water quality and animal welfare in the last 50 years!

Although we’ve long since transitioned from being animal keepers, our passion for animal welfare never changed.
Now, we contribute behind the scenes, designing and constructing life support systems to ensure the well-being of BOTH the animals’ water quality but also the keepers’ sanity (drains that slope properly 👏🏻 valves within reach 👏🏻 automation 👏🏻).
Our roles have changed, but our mission is unchanged: supporting conservation initiatives and protecting wildlife.
Here we are in San Diego, installing the life support systems for the Safari Park’s new Elephant Valley project — it’s the biggest expansion in park history!
