Level the Field Sports is removing barriers to entry in youth sports. It’s an awesome nonprofit made even more incredible by its cofounders, Jacob and Justin Rivera, who are just teenagers. They received the Youth Inspiration Award at last month’s Seattle Sports Star of the Year Awards. We were there to document it all, from media row to taking the stage.

Friday night took me back. I was behind the camera at the Seattle Sports Star Awards, reconnecting with a former chapter of my life covering sports in Seattle. For a night, it felt like the old days again.
Our impact video for North Helpline highlights the challenges of operating a food bank and community resource in today’s world and the strength of the neighbors who rely on it. It premiered at their annual fundraising event, where the community stepped up and helped the organization reach a record amount of support.
