March 2023, I started training with Rat City Roller Derby’s Pinkies program. January 2026, I got drafted to the Ship Wreckers (with a 10+ month ankle injury/recovery built in). Now I am 47, I am a jammer, and we are competing in the championship bout!
I do not have words for what this team means to me. I just love them.
