This past month has been crazy busy! I’ve been riding out the remainder of my 2nd trimester energy as we moved into our new home, did home improvement projects, and had 2 baby showers. As I’m entering the 3rd trimester this week, I can definitely hear my body’s internal signals to slow down.

By the end of each day my joints and feet hurt and I can’t wait to hit the bed. I struggle to keep up with my co-workers during our lunch walks, and my baby bump is starting to get uncomfortably big to where I can no longer lay on my back for too long or bend over to touch the ground easily.

On the plus side- I’m feeling baby kick, flex, and bounce around everyday and it’s not creepy like I thought it would be, I actually like it because it reminds me he is there :)

As for food, I can definitely feel my body’s need for increased calories. I’m hungrier and eating more than my usual. I was slow to gain weight in the beginning of my pregnancy, but now I’m packing on the pounds and getting used to what that feels like in my body. This month has made me most aware of all the physical changes that accompany pregnancy and I’m so impressed by what the human body can do!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, new moms-to-be, and mother figures in our lives! Sending love to everyone who is celebrating, remembering, or honoring your mom or yourself today ❤️

This Mother’s Day I’m feeling especially grateful for my own mom. Last year she was diagnosed with brain cancer and went through 6 months of chemo. Experiencing that with her was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through and made me realize more than ever how special she is to me.

To those who are remembering your moms today, I see you and have so much empathy💛

To all my friends who have recently become moms, I’m so happy for you and am learning so much from watching you all! Can’t wait to join the club!

Moms are super heroes and life is short. Let’s take this today to remember to never take our moms for granted! 💕💖💕
