This year I'm challenging myself to read a book each month based on the houses of astrology. For the month of August I'm focusing on the 8th house, whose themes include death, transformation, and shared resources. So, for this month I decided to (re)read the book When Time Is Short: Finding Our Way in the Anthropocene by Timothy Beal. I read this book last year and it was one of the most profound books I've read. I'm curious to see what stands out for me this time.

Also, I gave myself permission to take a break from this challenge during June and July. Just a reminder that if you need to grant yourself permission to take a break on a challenge, I want you to know that you are allowed to do that! Life is not linear, and you are allowed to reassess and take breaks if you need to.
