Don’t Toss That Cricut Mat Yet.

Before you buy a new Cricut mat… try cleaning it first. 😅

If your mat is covered in paper fuzz, tiny cardstock bits, or mystery craft debris, it may not be ruined — it might just need a gentle reset.

Here’s how I clean mine:

1. Scrape off the loose paper pieces first.

2. Gently wipe the mat with fragrance-free, alcohol-free baby wipes.

3. Let it air dry completely, sticky-side up.

The key word is gently. Don’t scrub it like a casserole dish and don’t use it while it’s still damp.

This won’t magically save every mat forever, but it can definitely give a sad-looking mat a little more life.

Save this before your next “why won’t my cardstock stick?” moment. ✂️
