Led by a collective of eleven seasoned social justice activists with a constituency of approximately 300 supporters, the Santa Fe Intersectional Activist Collective is a social justice and civil rights action and education nexus that connects and amplifies the intersectional needs and visions of diverse identity groups in Santa Fe. We believe that social justice activism helps individuals forge an identity of strength, tenacity and dignity, that signal boosting silenced and suppressed voices is the key to addressing wounds in our society, and that sharing a tool-kit for activism and progressive social change is a path towards agency and healing.

Rather than perpetuating silos of disparate communities, we create a space within which Santa Feans of a spectrum of ethnicities, nationalities and citizenships, races, economic statuses, educational levels, queerness, gender, religions, ages, and dis/abilities can unite together in a network of civil rights and social justice co-education and community action.

Our threefold mission is (1) to exchange and amplify the principles of the intersectional identities, civil rights, and human rights; (2) mentor and facilitate direct action and involvement in community change; (3) offer tools and opportunities for diverse folks to gain agency and identities as empowered progressive changemakers in our communities and the world.

Our founding members are Attiana Virella-Fuentes, Bineh Ndefru, Israel Francisco Hares Lopez, Quintan Ana Wikswo, Marya Erin Jones, AJ Goldman, Darryl Lorenzo Wellington, Matthew Contos, Nathan Usher, Moriah Williams, and Nikki Green.
